Cartier is a huge influence for me. He was French photographer that we can say was the father of photojournalism, he focused on street photography and his work is all about capturing the moment, he has influenced many photographers that have followed him and i think it is always important to reference your work with other artists, and the best way to do it is to dig into the past and always go to the origins.
I looked at his work especially for my self directed project, i loved how the black and white captures the mood of the people and the atmosphere.
I also had a look at the way he made his compositions, always very dinamic and alive.
